Visiting a Loved One?

Effective July 15, 2021:

  • All immunized visitors and staff will no longer require a rapid antigen test once proof of vaccination is received.  For all family and visitors if you are fully vaccinated please email proof of vaccination to Alex at recreation@edenhousecarehome.ca.  Once received your name will be put on a list that the screener will have and you will not be required to have the rapid test.  You will be required to have a rapid test until proof of vaccination is received to ensure the safety of our residents and staff. You will still receive a sticker noting you are fully vaccinated when entering the home.  All visitors and staff will continue to be screened upon arrival and if you do not pass the screener you will not be allowed into the home.

  • Essential caregivers will be allowed to join their loved one for dinner, however as per past practice you will be set up to have dinner with your loved one in the activity room.  Please ensure you let the nurse know if you are planning on coming for dinner so the staff can help prepare ahead of time.

  • Dining room set up for both Retirement and Long Term Care will remain the same at this present time as the requirement for 2 metres physical distancing remains.

  • At this time we will continue to have all partially or unimmunized visitors continue to wear a mask and eye protection.  Fully immunized visitors are required to wear a mask only.

  • With the easing on visiting there are no longer maximum numbers that can visit the home.  At this time we will not put restrictions on the maximum number of visitors or require you to call to book a visit.  However we will monitor this in relation to the space in our home to ensure maintenance of physical distancing over the next week and if necessary may communicate changes to the maximum number.
